CHARLOTTE – Bank of America today announced the launch of its new Bank the Way you Live online banking microsite, bankofamerica.com/anywhere, where in one place, customers with on-the-go lifestyles can learn how to break free of conventional banking and find the freedom and control to manage their personal finances online or via mobile or smart phone, courtesy of the number one online bank.The microsite features information on the valuable tools that give Bank of America customers the freedom to bank without boundaries, the control to manage their own finances at the touch of a computer key or phone pad and the security to know that their finances are protected. In addition to being a tutorial for current and prospective customers, the site is also a portal to Bank of America’s award-winning suite of online and mobile banking products.

The online site features characters from the TV commercials who lead visitors through interactive demonstrations of each online and mobile banking product. Consumers will learn how they can access accounts, pay bills, transfer funds, locate banking centers or ATMs and receive account alerts via text message on their mobile phone. They will also see how to aggregate information and accounts for a complete financial picture, all with multiple layers of security to help ensure that customers’ personal finance information stays personal.

“Dancing with the Stars” champion and two-time U.S. Olympic speedskating gold medalist Apolo Anton Ohno has partnered with Bank of America – a longtime sponsor of the U.S. Olympic Team - to promote the launch of the microsite.

Freedom
Bank of America’s mobile banking features give customers the freedom to pay bills, transfer funds between accounts or to other Bank of America customers and locate banking centers or ATMs with maps and directions all from the convenience of a mobile phone. A recent Bank of America survey revealed that almost half (49%) of Americans would like the option to bank at any time or location and more than a quarter (27%) of Americans have forgotten to pay a bill, but couldn’t access their bank to pay it.

With Mobile Banking, customers can check balances, pay bills, schedule payments in advance, transfer funds, and even track payment history – anytime, anywhere.

Users can also stay organized and save paper by viewing checking, savings and credit card statements through Online Banking, automatically receive electronic versions of current and past statements and sign up for email notification when statements are ready.

Control
Bank of America’s “My Portfolio”™ feature allows customers to display their full financial picture all in one place, with automatically categorized transactions that show exactly where and how they spend their money. Helpful management tools, including charts and graphs can create a personalized budget to help save for bigger purchases.

Bank of America’s online customers can also control their finances by receiving free, customizable alerts via email or mobile text messages to stay informed of their account balance and any suspicious credit card activity.

Security
With SiteKey®, SafePass™ and ShopSafe®, Bank of America customers have multiple layers of security, allowing them to bank and shop online in comfort, knowing that their information is protected, all for free.

SiteKey is an award-winning online security sign-in feature that helps customers deter fraud by giving them an added layer of security when logging on to Online Banking… Customers accessing Online Banking from their cell phone or smartphone are protected with the bank’s SiteKey security service, as well as its Zero Liability Online Banking Guarantee.

With SafePass, customers making sensitive transactions can receive a text message to their mobile phone with a 6-digit, one-time-use code that expires as soon as it is used, providing additional protection.

When shopping online, Bank of America customers can log into ShopSafe to create a unique, temporary credit card number, eliminating the need to expose one’s real credit card number.
